The short answer

At PureNest, a Standard Clean starts from $224.25 incl. GST for a studio apartment and a deep clean starts from $345.00. Prices rise with the number of bedrooms. A weekly plan takes 15% off the Standard Clean price and a fortnightly plan takes 10% off. Every price is confirmed in a fixed written quote after a free on-site inspection, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay.

What changes the price

1. The size of the home

More bedrooms usually means more bathrooms, more floor and more surfaces, so time on site goes up. That is why rate cards are set by property size rather than by the hour.

2. The type of clean

A standard clean is upkeep: benchtops, bathrooms, dusting, floors and interior glass. A deep clean goes into cabinet interiors, the oven and fridge, limescale and grout, and every accessible fixture. It takes longer, so it costs more, but it bundles in add-ons that would otherwise be charged separately. Our guide to deep clean vs regular clean compares the two in detail.

3. How often you book

Recurring plans cost less per visit because the home never gets far behind. On PureNest's rate card a fortnightly plan saves 10% and a weekly plan saves 15% on Standard Clean rates. See regular house cleaning for the weekly and fortnightly prices.

4. The condition of the home

Prices assume a home in standard condition. Heavy grease, limescale or a home that has not been cleaned for a long time needs a one-off reset first, which is what a deep clean is for.

5. Add-ons and specialist work

On a standard clean, extras are priced on top. An interior oven clean is $69.00, an interior fridge or freezer clean is $57.50, interior windows are $9.20 per pane on the ground floor and carpet steam cleaning is $80.50 per room. Specialist work such as mould remediation, exterior or high-level windows and heavy rubbish removal is quoted separately at the inspection.

What should be included in the price

  • Cleaning labour, standard equipment and commercial-grade cleaning chemicals
  • GST, shown clearly on the quote
  • A written scope listing the rooms and tasks covered
  • A clear list of anything charged as an extra

If a quote does not say what is included, ask before you book. A low hourly rate can end up costing more if products, travel or "extras" are added afterwards.

How to keep the cost down

  • Book one deep clean to reset the home, then move to a weekly or fortnightly plan
  • Clear clutter from benchtops and floors so the team spends its time cleaning
  • Empty the fridge and cupboards before a deep clean so the interiors can be done in one visit
  • Bundle the oven, fridge and carpets into a deep clean instead of booking them one by one

How to get an exact price

Online prices are a starting point. PureNest sends a supervisor to inspect your home for free, photograph each room and confirm the scope. You then receive a fixed written quote, normally within 24 hours, with no hidden extras. Request your free inspection to get yours.
